"   I tend to drift off on my own more often than not these days. I no longer feel the need to report my constant whereabouts, my every action or every thought to others. I’m becoming independent. I’m becoming free.   "

This seems so silly and obvious, but the best relationship advice I’ve heard came from my old psychology professor. She said to us one day during lecture: “Some people ask how my partner and I have stayed together for so long. And I tell them: ‘You just stay. Stay. No matter how bad or nasty it gets, how much you want to throw a potted plant at them. You stay.’”

So, I stay. Stay always.

Reblogging myself because this still holds true.

"   Just write every day of your life. Read intensely. Then see what happens. Most of my friends who are put on that diet have very pleasant careers.   "
-Ray Bradbury
"   Permanence doesn’t always mean stagnation: I see the same faces and I choose to interact with the same people in order to share with them the perpetual renewal of the world. On the other hand, I think it’s pointless to talk with people who react to life entirely differently from the way I react to life: in such cases words do not mean the same thing to them as they mean to me and therefore words themselves do not allow us to ever communicate genuinely enough.   "
